Shipping

Below you will find step-by-step procedures on how to buy a car from us.
Buying a car from Mikawa Daihatsu is easy and hassle free.

Confirm your order

Once you have placed your purchase order by email, we will then send you the proforma invoice that shows you the vehicle specifications including interior and exterior photos of the vehicle for a final confirmation before submitting payment.

Payment

You can pay by T/T (Telegraphic Transfer) according to the proforma invoice we send to you. Your vehicle will be ready for shipment within two weeks after we have received your payment by T/T.

Pre-delivery inspection & shipping procedures

 

Once your payment is cleared, our service mechanics of the Quality Assurance team will conduct a thorough inspection of your vehicle including engine, oil, suspension, brakes, tires, and other parts as our regular pre-delivery inspection.

After the inspection is complete, our cleaning crew will then clean your vehicle before sending it to our Shipping Department.

Our Shipping Department will then begin the shipping procedure by sending your vehicle to the Nagoya port.

Shipment

Your vehicle will be shipped from the Nagoya port after a customs clearance at the seaport. All vehicles and shipping documents must be sent to customs at least 48 to 72 hours before the vessel departs from Japan.  About 1-2 weeks after the vessel's departure, the shipping company will issue a Bill of Lading (B/L) to us.

Dispatch of documents

We will send you the B/L and other shipping documents by courier.

Customs clearance in your country

It takes approximately 4 weeks before your vehicle reaches the port. Please consult with your local customs clearing agent during your 4-week wait. . Please bring all the shipping documents (includes Bill of Lading) to the port for customs clearance. Once the vehicle arrives at the port, the local customs clearing agent will complete the customs clearance and unload your vehicle from the ship.

Drive Away

Now you can pick up your vehicle at the port to register in your country, and then drive away!
